Greenly — Delete some of your data

App: Greenly (Google Play, com.greenly.app), published by Greenly Garden.

You can delete part of your data and keep your account. To delete the account and everything in it, see Delete account.

In the app

Deleted items leave this phone at once and the cloud copy with the next sync (within minutes when you are online).

• A plant: Garden → the ⋮ button next to the plant → Remove plant and confirm. Its upcoming tasks and reminders go with it. Its journal entries and photos stay in your account; to delete them too, delete the entries first (below), or write to us.
• A journal entry (a note, a harvest, a diagnosis saved to a plant): open the plant → Journal → the entry → Delete entry.
• A photo in the journal: open the entry → Remove photo. The photo is deleted from the cloud storage too.
• A note: Profile → Notes → the note → Delete the note and confirm.
• A saved product label: Profile → My products → the product → Delete.
• Usage statistics and crash reports: Profile → Settings → turn statistics off. Nothing more is sent from this phone.

By email

For anything else — a plant with its whole history, your place, your plant photos sent for identification, or all your journal photos at once — write to publicsomeday@gmail.com from the email address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete some of my Greenly data", and say what to delete. We delete it within 30 days and reply when it is done. Your account and the rest of your garden stay as they are.

What is kept

• The data you did not ask to delete.
• Anonymous data that was never linked to a person: typical frost dates for an area of about 25 km, and cached answers to plant photos.
• If you gave consent to statistics, Firebase keeps anonymous events for up to 14 months under its own retention rules.
• Google Play keeps its own record of any purchases, as required for payments and taxes.
