Growing notes
Light
A sunny window or a grow light, about 16 hours of light a day in total.
Soil
Lightweight soilless seed mix, 2.5–4 cm deep in a shallow tray.
Care
Sow the seed thickly on moist mix and cover the tray for the first few days to keep warmth and humidity in. Mist the surface at first, then water from below or above, keeping the mix moist but not soggy; good air circulation helps prevent damping-off and mould. No fertiliser is needed. Cut with clean scissors just above the mix once the first true leaves have opened.
